“ The manager Rachel went out of her way to make our evening a great event. The first thing I saw upon walking into the resturant, was the nicely set table, with a special Indonesian batik table cloth, to give the ambiance. I was very impressed to see that she had also organised a special menu card for us with the English and Indonesian names of the dishes we were eating that evening. The food was well presented, and I found that the waitresses were attentive to our needs. I enjoyed the meal, it is certainly a venue that I will be returning to again soon. Margaret M, Nora, Linda L, Lynda, Dan, Gordie, Marta, Jerry, Nicole, Astrid and Marie-Anne all enjoyed each other company this evening. Maylis managed to join us later on for a coffee and chat near the end of the evening. Thank you to Gordie for sharing his experiences and photos from his trip to Indonesia. Lynda and Linda (what a coincidence indeed) are winners each of the $ 10.00 gift certificate from Restaurant Indonesia. It is nice to see familiar faces and many new ones each time. I like the fact that everyone is comfortable enough with the group to voice their opinions, concerns, and or praise as many do. These are very important to help our Dining Out group grow. ”

“ Again a great Travel Meetup. Welcome to the members that were able to come out to enjoy the meeting at Cafe Gourmet. Linda J, Dawn A, Marta, Linda C, Nora, Michelle, Jim, Jerry, Debbie W, Rose, Astrid, Norbert, Dr J, Helen, James B, Margaret M, and Mary Lou, who has the honour of being the 100th member to sign up at the site . Thank you to Margaret M who took the photos and managed to post then to the web site in less than 24 hours. WOW, what a fab bunch of members. I was again thrilled to see the great turnout. We had 1 guest Wendy who read about our meeting via the Calgary Outdoor Club calendar. We are looking forward to hearing about her trip to China next time. Jim from Pipestone Travel gave us an informative presentation about how to pack and what not to take, too many shoes as he put it! lol Steph., Wendy and JamesB won the door prizes donated by Pipestone Travel. ”
